A Word With ("we", "us", "our") operates awordwith.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in (via a one-time code) and to contact you.
• Connected social profiles. If you connect a social account (e.g. X), we receive your public profile information from that provider — such as your username, display name, profile photo, and follower count — to verify your identity and build your public profile. We store a copy of your profile photo.
• Profile content. The name, handle, description, and other details you add to your profile.
• Messages. The content of messages you send and receive through the Service.
• Payment & wallet information. Information needed to process payments and operate your wallet, including blockchain addresses and transaction details. Your wallet is self-custodial — you control it through your own sign-in, and we don't hold the keys that move your funds. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
• Usage & device data. Basic technical data such as IP address, device/browser type, and interactions with the Service, used for security and to operate the Service.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• To verify identity and prevent impersonation, fraud, and abuse;
• To process payments and deliver messages;
• To communicate with you (sign-in codes, notifications, support);
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the Service — including cloud hosting and email delivery (Amazon Web Services) and the authentication/social providers you choose to connect — under agreements that limit their use of your data.
• Other users, to the extent your public profile and the messages you choose to send or receive are visible to them.
• Legal & safety, where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time — see our Data Deletion page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@awordwith.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International transfers

We operate using infrastructure that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
